QR & Barcode Studio ("the application", "we", "our") is developed by Rhythm Bhattarai / CodeCrypse IT Solutions as a privacy-first utility. This Privacy Policy outlines our uncompromising architecture regarding user data, permissions, and security.

        100% Offline Guarantee: QR & Barcode Studio operates entirely on your physical device. We do not operate external database servers, collect personal metrics, track your location, or transmit your camera feeds.
      

1. Summary: 100% Offline, Zero Data Collection

Zero Data Collection: We do not collect, transmit, store, sell, or share any personal information, telemetry, usage statistics, or device identifiers.
100% Offline Functionality: All barcode and QR code generation, styling, decoding, and database storage take place exclusively on your device.
No Cloud Services or Accounts: The app contains no user account system, no remote server synchronization, and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
No Ads: The app does not display banner ads, interstitial ads, or video advertisements.

2. Permissions & How They Are Used

QR & Barcode Studio requests only the absolute minimum permissions strictly necessary to perform core on-device functions:

A. Camera (android.permission.CAMERA)

Purpose: Used solely to scan physical QR codes and 1D barcodes in real time.
Data Handling: Camera video frames are processed transiently in device RAM by the on-device scanner engine (Mobile Scanner / Google ML Kit). Video feeds and images are never recorded, never saved to storage without your explicit command, and never transmitted over any network.

B. Photos & Storage (Photo Picker)

Purpose:

To allow you to pick an image from your photo gallery to embed as a center logo in a custom QR code.
To allow you to scan an existing QR code or barcode image stored on your device.

Data Handling: Access is limited exclusively to the specific image file you manually pick using the Android system Photo Picker. Selected images remain strictly local on your device.

3. Local Data Storage & History

Scanned barcodes and generated QR codes are stored locally on your device in an isolated Hive sandbox database.

You are always in total control of your data:

You can search, favorite, or swipe-to-delete individual history records at any time.
You can permanently erase all saved history records in one click via Settings > Data & Storage > Clear All History.
Uninstalling the application completely deletes all local databases and cached files from your device.

4. Third-Party Services & Network Access

The application makes zero network requests during regular operation. The Android manifest contains zero internet permissions.
The application includes no third-party tracking libraries, advertising networks, tracking pixels, or analytics services (e.g., no Firebase Analytics, no Facebook SDK, no Google AdMob).

5. Children's Privacy

Because QR & Barcode Studio does not collect any personal information whatsoever, it does not knowingly collect data from children under the age of 13 (or any other age group). The app is completely safe for users of all ages.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

If we update this Privacy Policy in future versions, the revised date will be reflected at the top of this document. Any updates will continue to uphold our core architecture of 100% offline, privacy-first computing.
